Should payment of ABT fees and participation in the ABT points race at an ABT event be optional?

Since the ABT fees are simply a cost- and a rather light one at that of 50 cents a player- borne by the director, this is akin to asking if a player's payment of that portion of the entry fee required to defray the cost of paper and printer ink cartridges be optional if that player does not wish to receive a printed receipt.

Players do not have to choose whether or not to pay the fee. Directors may choose whether or not to affiliate with the ABT.
