Phil, I did not see anything explicit in what you propose, only vague ideas. A proposal of the form "I think it is possible to be reasonably accurate to say that a Player A is a Level 1 player" with zero specifics how it is to be implemented in practice is hardly a counter-proposal to Ken's explicit formula with sample computations.

I do agree with you that this kind of task is best delegated to a committee within USBGF. The question is, would anybody be willing to put in the required amount of work? The question is not trivial given the volunteer nature of work of most USBGF officers.
