Bill,

Your "valid rolls" rule, 4.1(iv)(a) on page 11, doesn't say anything about the side board or the crevice between checkers. The current rule is much simpler to interpret: 4.2 Both dice must come to rest flat on the playing surface to the right of the bar; otherwise they are “cocked” and must be rerolled.

If it's not broke, don't fix it.
