I am not sure the cube is easier in money games. Note that at many scores the cube is trivial for match play.
I'd be willing to bet a dollar that it's harder in match play.
My definition is that you lose more EMG per game played in match play. You play a bunch of matches, record how much EMG you tossed away on cube actions, and count up how many games you played. Divide.
Your match length makes a difference. If the matches are long, then it's mostly fairly close to money. If the matches are short, you have more opportunities for score-based cube adjustments, but you also have more games where the cube decisions are trivial or nearly so (C, PC, -2/-2). It seems to me you think the wimpy cube decision scores wipe out the score-based adjustments. I'm guessing the opposite, but I'm only willing to bet one dollar.
I'm not sure how best to answer this.
