In Response To: A Proposal to Start the US Backgammon Federation (Kenny Nissen)

Thank you for your offer and support, Kenny. It is my hope that we will model ourselves after your organization and adopt your rules because:

1. You have proven to be quite successful in advancing the game in your country;

2. As you stated, why should we try to re-invent the wheel when you have already done this;

3. I believe it is important to be consistent and in line internationally.

Having said this, however, the structure and bylaws that ultimately get adopted will be up to the Board of Directors with final approval of the membership. What I am proposing is democratic and transparent, but to have a board of directors that expedites the process, as that is, in my opinion, the only way this will ever get done.

I am sure that if we get an organization established, one of the first things they will do is contact you to get your excellent input and advice.
