Matt,

Are you advocating that I abandon my effort and that backgammon doesn't need a real-time world ranking system? We should just live with the Giants Voting? How about if we share your wonderful idea with the people behind the World Golf Ranking and the Global Poker Index? They're obviously misguided. I wonder what deluded them into thinking that golf and poker would be better off with a computerized world ranking system.

I prefer to breath some life and excitement into the backgammon world. This Giants Voting seems so lame and geriatric to me. I believe that a computerized world ranking system could elevate interest and drive up participation in tournaments. I've made a proposal on how it could be implemented. If there are flaws, we can work together to fix them. But doing nothing is not an option, in my opinion.
