Annual Abolish the last chance post (please, think of the children)

Just one more data point:
(1) I often don't like the LC... sometimes I feel held hostage to chase a little bit of equity.
(2) That being said, I hate the idea of getting canned after two matches. I like what Barry (and surely others) have: Double elimination for the main flight, then it kicks you into a Progressive Consolation.
(3) I like the idea of restarting jackpots on Sunday.
(4) I like there to be few side events that get big. In Las Vegas, for example, Howard really pushes the blitzes. Aside from the obligatory (and discriminatory) Seniors, that's pretty much THE side event to get into after you get drummed out of the main tournament. As a result, it runs often and gets pretty big. I won the blitz in Vegas twice, and those were pretty big scores.
(5) In Rory's tournament, if you're 0-3, you might be better off losing the third match than trying to chase the big prize. This is not a good feature. Bob Koca originally pointed this out.
(6) Everybody talks about getting in chouettes. I do realize they are popular, but I usually hate chouettes.
(7) I'm not a fan of kittens. I get allergic reactions to all cats. If you had told me to think of the puppies, then I'm on board. A different message resonates with everybody.
