Some points here:
- + FT is very similar to Swiss and does run at a smooth pace. You know exactly what time the next round starts and the schedule rarely has long waits.
- - FT takes longer to run. Instead of one or two longer matches, you have to play 3 or 4 shorter matches. That takes more time and you usually have to play more hours.
- The tournament in Cyprus may have some ~400 entrants, but they run the main over 3 days instead of 2.
- The tournament coming up in Cyprus is NOT FT. It is single elim, progressive conso, traditional LC (LC starts Sunday at 12PM).
