If it's a cube action, then I remind my opponent about the clock if he forgets to activate my time after cubing. I do the same if he mistakenly picks up the dice because then I know his turn is over.
If he's pondering a checker play, then I don't do anything. Perhaps he is thinking about something and I should not disturb him in his thought process. If he runs out of time while thinking about a play, then that's not my problem. Time management is part of the skill set required to play bg on a clock, imo.
I have never won or lost a match on time. If I were to lose on time, then I'd be gutted as I can always make some semi decent play within the delay time.
