You would have to see Bob play to understand my attempt at a joke and trying to make a point. I'll see if I can find any video footage of him playing. The parallel is that in Chess all the rules are well laid out and enforced. For example, you can only press the clock with the same hand you move the pieces with. In Backgammon same hand rule is not the case. Backgammon has a very very long way to go to become more structured.
