cheating is a strong word. more like being inappropriately "helpful". In short, don't make your own rulings, if your opponent doesn't agree, summon the director - that's what they are there for. The penalty for the infraction seems a trifle harsh, but penalties are there to keep everything on the up and up. As a mutual friend of Bill and mine says --- "DON'T TOUCH MY CHECKERS!!!" :-)
