Respect?

I respect everyone who disagrees with me, but not necessarily for their good judgment or fairness or reasonableness or willingness to be flexible or ability to see why it is important to have consistency and standardization of the rules worldwide, even if some of the rules are not to your liking. But I certainly like and respect them anyway.

Since you specifically mentioned Bill and Art, I like them both very much and particularly respect Bill for all he does and has done for the game, even though I might not ever agree with him on any important issue.

Wait! I'm wrong. We play ping pong together and pretty much agree on the rules for ping pong (though I do think his serve should be made illegal).
