I suppose as increased match length reduces variance, in theory, a smaller number of 25-point matches are needed to provide the same level of confidence where 7-point matches are played. I think degree of confidence will be roughly proportional to the square root of the match length. On this basis, 5.2 25-point matches would provide the equivalent sample size of ten 7-point matches.

Your estimates of 30 and 5 look to be in the right ballpark to me, though it could as low as 25 and 3 say.
