Thanks for the link, Bob. I think overall ER Elo would be better than Elo, but a major problem for live play is all matches would have to be analyzed with a bot. It also sounds like it will take longer with VR Elo to go from provisional rating to real strength. This system is good for established players, but may not be the best choice for rapidly improving players. Especially if they only play a handful amount of tournaments per year. Did I get it right?
