I disagree with your implication here Bob. Yes, there is more work involved in using a PR based system rather than Elo (i.e. results), but the crux of the matter is the fact that results based systems need much too large a sample size to yield a reliable conclusion in live backgammon. They are simply subject to way too much variance within a reasonable timeframe. There are going to be problems with any system, but PR seems to me much less problematic than any other type.
