I'm fully aware of that post, and it doesn't contradict what I said in the slightest: when cups were used in conjunction with those particular, faulty baffle boxes, the weird results stopped.

Dice passing through any design of baffle box that I personally have ever seen (20 or more?), none of which had less than two slopes and some more than three, cannot possibly be easier to circumvent WITH a cup, than using that cup to 'roll' straight onto the board.

You are trying to approach perfect randomness (which can never truly be attained) sufficiently closely, and in a reasonable amount of time. ANY baffle box and a cup is clearly more reliable at consistently doing this than a cup alone.

Further, a well designed baffle box even without a cup would, I'm certain, be any sane persons preference if they had to play someone, for high stakes, whom they knew to be a very skilled dice mechanic, over cups alone.
