Most players makes big effort , spends lot of money and time to travel to tournaments….spends lot of time/money to improve their games and to be every day better players…spend time and money to make something to maintain bg alive around the world, to support local or international federations….ok, all this things we do because we love the game and nobody push us to be backgammon players….but is this not enough? If you want to have some success in bg, you should add to all those things to take care about unfair players, that don´t consider sportsmanship and common sense, and who want to take every advantage from every minimum rule that benefit themselves? So, if you want to attract new players to our game , you have to tell them that you have to use skill and maths,u have to have some lucky ,but most important is that u have to take care of more experienced players that will use all available tools (fair and unfair) to defeat you? No way… Call solution to this “legal moves” or what you want, but sportsmanship and common sense should prevail everytime…if not from some singular players, at least from TD`s.
